Quaranudes

This project began the day after I was laid off from my job as a sommelier due the COVID-19 pandemic. While commiserating with fellow women in hospitality (all of whom were also laid off), I asked, half-joking, if they would send me nudes to paint during my indefinite unemployment spent under quarantine. To my surprise, my inbox was soon flooded with pictures. I quickly opened up the project to the public and over 150 womxn have participated to date. Sales from the pieces have benefitted various organizations, including RoarNYC, The Lee Initiative and Color of Change. Below is a selection of finished pieces.
